A popular event is happening in Kaohsiung now. That is — 2025 Kaohsiung Wonderland X Chiikawa — so many Taiwanese are CRAZY about this Japanese anime, and it feels like all Taiwanese people come to celebrate this event during the Lunar New Year, including our Butterfly Soup squad.

“This is so cute! Do you see this HUGE Chiikawa on the river? It looks like a big marshmallow floating above the water. So adorable!!” said Diya, who wears a Chiikawa hood cap and expresses her excited facial expression, the same as when she sees her favorite doggo, Samoyed.

“You are such an adorable princess. The way you describe that decoration makes you even more cute!” Min smiles with pride at how her girlfriend acts with this cute behavior.

“YAAAAAA~~~~HA!!! I agree Diya is so kawaii today. Also, Min-chan is kawaii-ne~~~” Akarsha putting on Usagi's hood cap mimics Usagi’s iconic sound and laughs at Min’s lovely Momonga’s hood cap.

“SHUT UP BITCH!! This is because Diya likes this outfit, or I definitely won’t wear this stupid cap!” Min is mad at Akarsha’s reaction and waves her fist wanna hit her.

“Okay, okay, I got you, little squirrel~~ Actually, it fits you so well on how you perform so offensively as Momonga behaves.” Akarsha keeps teasing Min, and Min almost has an urgent feeling of killing her immediately (Diya stops Min in the end). “In comparison, our Frenchman looks more in conflict with her cat outfit.” Akarsha changes her target to Noelle, who wears a Hachiware hood cap, looking cute and smart.

“…It is also because of Diya’s quest. I don’t understand why this anime is so popular and why so many people come to this event?? There are just some floating decorations on the river. Why is it interesting?” Noelle shows her question face and expresses her confusion about this activity.

Akarsha shakes her index finger. “Hohoho ~ Boring Frenchman without any romantic gene, don’t you see how obvious this is? THEY ARE SO CUTEEEEEE! And that’s why you feel so conflicted as to Hachiware. Hachiware is an optimistic cat who always acts positively in life, and even if they don’t have money and live in a cave without a door, they are still happy with their friends every day ~ But our Frenchman… like an angry version of Hachiware.” Akarsha signs and waves her head to show her disappointment to Noelle. “If you want to cosplay more similar to the character, you should smile more often~~ let’s smile first, Angry Cat~~” Akarsha puts her fingers on Noelle’s cheek and makes a smile on her face.

“I DON’T COSPLAY IT! Don’t tease my face!!”Noelle yells.

“Relax ~~ my angry cat~~ Smile more~~~” Akarsha enjoys teasing Noelle’s face, and Noelle gets rid of her hands and starts to chase her. They run away from Diya and Min.

“… Why do they always keep acting in this way, like Cat Chase Rabbit shows play every day? Aren’t they tired of this?” Min signs to see this scene. “Why the heck does Akarsha just directly say Noelle should smile more often?”

“I think that is just their romantic fun. They both enjoy this way for a long time. It’s hard to change the habit.” Diya looks gratified and smiles at the interaction between Noelle and Akarsha. “At least they finally confess their feelings to each other and become couple now.”

“Let’s not talk about that fool couple. We can enjoy our dating now.” Min smiles takes Diya’s hand, and walks to the next decoration. Diya’s face is flushing, and she nods shyly.

“BIUUUUUU~~~~~~! Frenchman, catch me if you can ~~~ <3” Akarsha runs fast, moving her hands in a circle and makes a sound like Usagi to tease Noelle, and then plays dance break of SNSD - Catch Me If You Can, which makes her more annoyed.

“AKARSHA, STOP YOUR STUPID BEHAVIOR NOW!!!!!” Noelle runs as fast as she can (still very slow) to catch Akarsha. They run a long distance across the edge of Love River, from the left bottom to the right top of the river, and finally, they exhaust and stop.
